Once you have started Instiki and connected your browser to http://localhost:2500, the first thing to do is:
Instiki will present you with a form, asking about some details, such as:
After creating a web, Instiki will bring up an edit page for that web’s home page. This page is just the same as all the other pages within the wiki except that it comes up first.
There are a few ways to create new pages, but the best way is to add an empty link to an existing wiki page (for example, the home page), using either Wiki Words or the double bracket syntax. Submit, and you will see a question mark link to the side of what should be the link. Hitting this question mark will take you to an edit dialogue for the new page, and once created any links to that page will then be active.
Another way is to type in a new URL to the browser window – if the page does not exist it will lead to a creation page. Eg. localhost:2500/wiki/new/third+page
You can navigate an Instiki web just as you would any other web page, but you can also search all the pages in the web using plain text or regular expressions by putting your search string into the entry on top of any page.
